Notes on collections
Inside the 18th-century Palazzo Piraino Tower-House Museum is housed in Rooms of genius. The museum displays more than 2300 specimens of ancient majolica tiles dating back to a period between the late 16th century and the beginning of the 20th, a collection of vintage stationery, contemporary ceramics and collectables objects. The House Museum is housed in the eighteenth-century salons of the piano nobile of Palazzo Torre Piraino. The main lounges preserve the flooring and original frescoes of late 18th century and early 19th century. The collections of antique majolica consists of specimens of Neapolitan and Sicilian origin. Another section is dedicated to vintage stationery, including a collection of more than fifty ink bottles of mid-20th century, boxes of pens and old c in glass. Finally a section dedicated to contemporary ceramics, objects of modern and old toys.
