Excursions Zingaro
Among the pearls of Sicily, there is a magical place: seven kilometres of land untouched, in the peninsula of San Vito Lo Capo overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, between Castellammare del Golfo and Trapani. Is the zingaro, famous as one of the most beautiful coastlines of Italy, perfect for hiking enthusiasts and sea. Sneakers at the foot, entering from the main path you can admire the cliffs onto the tightest trails that lead to the coves or on private beaches, where the waters conceal waters rich in coral and fish. Memorable angles that combine the Green and blue, with white rocks or red.
Excursions Favignana Favignana
Favignana
Favignana is the largest and most popular of the Islands, closest to the Mainland and with a wide range of accommodations and boat connections. It is about 10 miles off the coast of Trapani and is a popular tourist destination during the summer months, largely thanks to its crystal clear waters and bays, such as the famous Cala Rossa. The main town, also known as Favignana, has a marina and is dominated by the Santa Caterina Fort, originally built by the Arabs as a watch-tower was enlarged by the Normans and then used as a prison by the Bourbon King. With its two main squares and its low houses typical of the Mediterranean, the town is quite seductive. There are also two buildings that testify to the influence of the Florio family: Palazzo Florio, built in 1876 near the port, and the great abandoned skeleton tonnara Florio. But the reason why people come to Favignana is crystal clear waters and excellent conditions for diving, especially in caves like the blue cave, the cave of sighs and the cave of lovers.
Levanzo
Levanzo is the smallest of the aegadian Islands, but none the less inviting! Is very hilly, although the highest peak "Pizzo del Monaco", gets up only to 278m. Much of the coast consists of spectacular cliffs, but there are some lovely beaches. Everything is reduced to the essential, namely a village (Weipa), a street with very few assets and a few hotels. Peace and quiet are guaranteed and the stressful life of the city soon became a distant memory. Its main attraction is the Grotta del Genovese, but apart from that there's wonderfully little to do except walking, boating, swimming, reading and eating!
